The performance coaches on staff at IMPACT are highly certified and experienced in multiple disciplines. They have trained some of the best athletes in the world in the sports of hockey, baseball, football, basketball, boxing, MMA, tennis, track, soccer, swimming, and lacrosse. Our staff is headed up by Jason Jerome, MSed, ATC, LAT, a medically licensed and state certified athletic trainer. This helps the staff at IMPACT have their fingers on the pulse of the latest and most effective training techniques to not only get an athlete to the level that they want to be at, but more importantly keep them there.
Jason Jerome, MSed, ATC, LAT, CPT

Originally from Aurora, IL, Jason has been a Certified Athletic Trainer with a medical license here in South Florida for over seven years. Jason earned his Master’s Degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Miami in 2006. In recent years, Jason has spent time with different organizations in the Boca area providing program implementation, injury prevention protocols, and biomechanical evaluations for athletes of all ages and backgrounds. Prior to his work in the Boca area, Jason was employed by the University of Miami responsible for rehabilitating Olympic, professional, and collegiate athletes from various sports including football, track and field, and volleyball. Jason served as a Core Training specialist for the Miami Hurricane athletic department working with numerous alumni from the NFL and MLB. Jason is a proud supporting member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA).
Devon Burnley, MSed, CSCS
Head Strength & Conditioning Coach
Originally from Lancaster, PA, Devon moved to Highland Beach, FL over a year ago to pursue a strength and conditioning career. Devon has both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Kinesiology specializing in Exercise Physiology from the University of Virginia. While completing her undergraduate education, she was a goal keeper for UVA’s field hockey team. Once in graduate school, Devon earned the graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach position and took part in training twenty-one division one sports. During this internship, she specialized in training men and women’s swimming, men and women’s lacrosse, men’s wrestling, and women’s rowing with each sport participating in the NCAA championship games. Devon also completed two internships during her final year of graduate school; at the University of Virginia Hospital’s Cancer Center and at the Kluge Rehabilitation Center’s Children’s Fitness Clinic as an exercise physiologist. With this well-rounded background, she is a valuable addition to the IMPACT team. She is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Darin Jerome, BS, Exercise Science
Speed and Agility Specialist
Originally from Aurora, IL, Darin Jerome has lived in Boynton Beach, FL for over 2 years. Darin graduated from Eastern Illinois University earning a Bachelor’s of Science in 2007. He has been training for over 5 years in South Florida coming from one of Illinois’s top sports performance centers, Velocity Sports. During Darin’s time at Velocity, he had the privilege of working with elite youth athletes, as well as nationally ranked football and volleyball athletes at the high school and Division-I Collegiate levels. Darin was able to excel training all age groups, as he himself was a Division-I football athlete at Eastern Illinois University that went through elite training programs throughout his career. Darin attributes his success to the proper training regimens he was placed on that focused on maximizing movement-specific strength & game speed. While in South Florida, Darin has been specializing in developing speed & agility for athletes of all ages including many youth, high school, collegiate & minor league baseball athletes. He has run camps and clinics all over South Florida helping 1,000′s of athletes obtain their goals.
Patrick Mauti, BS, USAW
Olympic Strength Specialist
Originally from Mandeville, Louisiana, Patrick has lived in Delray Beach, FL, for over 4 years. Patrick earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, with an emphasis in Fitness Studies, from Penn State University in 2009. While at Penn State, he was a wide receiver on the football team. They were a part of two Big Ten Championships and four bowl wins. (Orange Bowl, Alamo Bowl, Outback Bowl & Capitol One Bowl) While completing undergraduate work at Penn State, Patrick was fortunate enough to intern under the direction of two Master Strength Coaches, John Thomas, Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Speed Coach, Jeremy Scott, taking his teammates through lifts and coaching them on the proper techniques during each exercise. Previous to IMPACT, Patrick was at X-CEL Sports Performance, training numerous local high school football teams and hundreds of players in South Louisiana. Patrick’s focuses included training for proper lifting & speed techniques, which helped St. Paul’s High School win two consecutive undefeated district championships and a quarterfinal berth in the 2010 Louisiana State Playoffs. Patrick has great enthusiasm & unique ability to motivate people of all ages, at any level.
TJ Knoche, BS, ATC, LAT MATCS
Originally from Coral Springs, FL, TJ has lived in South Florida for over thirteen years. TJ earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Liberty University in 2011, where he had the opportunity to work with Division-1 collegiate athletes from various sports including track and field, basketball, and baseball. TJ took full advantage of his scholastic abilities at Liberty University and was awarded assistantships with some of the top surgeons, sports performance specialists, and strength and conditioning coaches in the world. TJ eventually graduated Summa Cum Laude and is now helping athletes rehabilitate injuries daily and get back to full action on the playing field. TJ is a Certified Athletic Trainer, who also recently obtained another credential in Muscle Activation Technique. TJ is a proud supporting member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA).
Octavio Cifuentes, CPT, TRX
Originally from Nicaragua, Octavio has been pursuing to be a strength and conditioning coach for the past 3 years. He went to LSU and earned his Bachelors degree in Business at UAM. His passion is inspiring others to reach their true fitness potential through sweat and dedication. His specialty is body fat reduction; in 90 days he can prove to anyone that with commitment to change, anything is possible. Octavio started his career at the Zoo Health Club in Boynton Beach, FL and was asked to join the IMPACT team this year. No one beats the expertise at IMPACT! Octavio is also an ambassador for Lululemon Athletica in Boca Raton, FL.
Kearra Comer, MS, ATC, CES
Originally from Dallas, TX, Kearra has recently moved to Boca Raton, FL to be a part of our team. Kearra is a Certified Athletic Trainer, certified in Graston Technique, and a Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist. Kearra earned her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Exercise Physiology from Texas A&M University in 2009 and her Master’s degree in Athletic Training from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2012. While completing her undergraduate degree, she was a competitive gymnast and coach for the Texas A&M’s gymnastics team. Once in graduate school she was assigned to work with a local high school, SFA’s Men’s Basketball team, Football, Women’s Volleyball, and the Track and Cross Country teams as a student athletic trainer. Prior to joining the IMPACT team, Kearra worked at the International Gymnastics Camp as an Athletic Trainer as well as the Dallas Vigilantes Arena Football for a season as an Intern Athletic Trainer. For the past year she has worked at the Michael Johnson Performance center in Dallas, TX, working with professional and Olympic level athletes, collegiate athletes, and youth athletes in sports performance and in the sports medicine aspect of training. She is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the National Athletic Training Association (NATA).
Rich Molin, CPT, PES, CSCS
Originally from Sweden, Rich has lived in Boynton Beach for 3 years. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Micro Electronics. Hockey has always been a huge part of Rich’s life, after playing a season in the AHL he was forced to retire at age 24 with herniated discs. He moved on to coaching Hockey for 15 years, from Mini Mites to “AAA” Midgets. Since that, Rich has dedicated his life to fitness and sports training. He started his career in personal and athletic training at RDV SPortsplex in Orlando, FL. Rich has found it very rewarding to work with clients from all ages & walks of life, and training athletes from nine years old to the professional and Olympic levels. Joining the IMPACT team in September 2013, Rich continues to specialize in Sports Performance Training as well as personal & group training of youth and adults. He is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
