Staff

The performance coaches on staff at IMPACT are highly certified and experienced in multiple disciplines. They have trained some of the best athletes in the world in the sports of baseball, football, basketball, boxing, MMA, tennis, track, soccer, swimming, and lacrosse. Our staff is headed up by Jason Jerome, MSed, ATC, LAT, a medically licensed and state certified athletic trainer. This helps the staff at IMPACT have their fingers on the pulse of the latest and most effective training techniques to not only get an athlete to the level that they want to be at, but more importantly keep them there.

Jason Jerome, MSed, ATC, LAT, CPT

Director of Athletic Development

Originally from Aurora, IL, Jason Jerome has been a Certified Athletic Trainer with a medical license here in South Florida for over seven years.  Jason earned his Master’s Degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Miami in 2006. In recent years, Jason has spent time with different organizations in the Boca area providing program implementation, injury prevention protocols, and biomechanical evaluations for athletes of all ages and backgrounds.  Prior to his work in the Boca area, Jason was employed by the University of Miami responsible for rehabilitating Olympic, professional, and collegiate athletes from various sports including football, track and field, and volleyball. Jason served as a Core Training specialist for the Miami Hurricane athletic department working with numerous alumni from the NFL and MLB. Jason is a proud supporting member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA).

Andy Henderson, MS, CSCS

Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, Corporate Fitness Director

Originally from Johnson City, TN, Andy has been a personal trainer and strength coach here in South Florida area for over ten years. Andy has both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Exercise Physiology with a concentration in Sports Nutrition. During his career, Andy has been awarded Trainer of the Year (Athletic Club Boca Raton) and Boca Raton Citizen of the Year. While working at the Athletic Club in Boca, he also broke several national industry records. Many of his clients have gone on to play sports at the NCAA Div I and II levels in soccer, tennis, baseball, and football.  Andy is the Director of Corporate Fitness at Impact providing exquisite programming to active adults.  He has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) since 2000 and is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Darin Jerome, BS, Exercise Science

Speed and Agility Specialist

Originally from Aurora, IL, Darin Jerome has lived in Coral Springs, FL for over three years. Darin graduated from Eastern Illinois University earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science in 2007. He has been training for over three years in South Florida coming from one of Illinois’s top sports performance centers. Darin had the privilege of working with elite youth athletes, as well as nationally ranked football and volleyball athletes at the high school and Division-I Collegiate level. Darin was able to excel training all age groups, as he himself was a Division I football athlete at Eastern Illinois University that went through elite training programs throughout his career. While in South Florida, Darin has been specializing in developing speed and agility for athletes at all levels including running camps and clinics throughout the area.

Patrick Mauti, BS, Kinesiology, USAW

Olympic Strength Specialist

Originally from Mandeville, Louisiana, Patrick has lived in Delray Beach, Florida, for two years.  Patrick earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, with an emphasis in Fitness Studies, from Penn State University in 2009. While at Penn State, he was a wide receiver on the football team that was a part of two Big Ten Championships and multiple bowl wins. While completing undergraduate work at Penn State, Patrick was fortunate enough to intern under the direction of two Master Strength Coaches, taking his teammates through lifts and coaching them on the proper techniques during each exercise. Patrick’s experiences allowed him to move on and train numerous local high school football teams and hundreds of athletes in South Louisiana. Patrick’s enthusiasm and unique ability to motivate people of all ages make him a valuable resource!

TJ Knoche, BS, Athletic Training, ATC

Rehabilitation Specialist

Originally from Coral Springs, Florida, TJ has lived in South Florida for over twelve years. TJ earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Liberty University in 2011, where he had the opportunity to work with Division-1 collegiate athletes from various sports including track and field, basketball, and baseball. TJ took full advantage of his scholastic abilities at Liberty University and was awarded assistantships with some of the top surgeons, sports performance specialists, and strength and conditioning coaches in the world. TJ eventually graduated Summa Cum Laude and is now helping athletes rehabilitate injuries daily and get back to full action on the playing field. TJ is a Certified Athletic Trainer, who is currently pursuing other accredited certifications in the field of sports performance and sports medicine.

Devon Burnley, MSed, Kinesiology

Performance Specialist

Originally from Lancaster, Pa, Devon has recently moved to Boca Raton, FL to pursue a strength and conditioning career. Devon has both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Kinesiology specializing in Exercise Physiology from the University of Virginia. While completing her undergraduate education, she was a goal keeper for UVA’s field hockey team. Once in graduate school, Devon earned the graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach position and took part in training twenty-one division one sports. During this internship, she specialized in training men and women’s swimming, men and women’s lacrosse, men’s wrestling, and women’s rowing with each sport participating in the NCAA championship games. Devon also completed two internships during her final year of graduate school; at the University of Virginia Hospital’s Cancer Center and at the Kluge Rehabilitation Center’s Children’s Fitness Clinic as an exercise physiologist. With this well-rounded background, she is a valuable addition to the Impact Sport Performance team.

Brian O’Malley, MS, ATC, LAT, CSCS

Rehabilitation Specialist

Originally from Worcester, Ma, Brian O’Malley has lived in Boca Raton, FL for over 3 years. Brian has been a Certified Athletic Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist for 8 years while holding an Athletic Training licensure in the state of Florida for 5 years. Brian earned his Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Quinnipiac University in 2004 and his Master’s degree in Exercise Science from FIU in 2009. While pursuing his graduate degree, Brian served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer responsible for rehabilitating collegiate athletes mainly working with Football, Track and Field, Soccer and Tennis. Prior to joining the IMPACT team, Brian served as Athletic Trainer / Strength and Conditioning Specialist for the USTA Player Development Headquarters in Boca Raton.  Through the years, Brian has had the privilege of working with athletes at many levels ranging from High School, Collegiate to current Professionals. He also is a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner and has been a member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA) and National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) since 2004.

Ryan Musille, MS, CSCS

Sports Performance Specialist

Originally from Canton, Ohio, Ryan moved down to Boca Raton after completing his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at Baldwin Wallace University. Ryan swam all four years at BW and was a national qualifier his senior year.  Since moving to Boca Ryan has earned his Master’s degree at Florida Atlantic University. While at Florida Atlantic, Ryan earned a graduate assistant position teaching the undergraduate swim classes and developing a biomechanics library for the Exercise Science Department. He was also a volunteer assistant coach for the swim team, developing and running dryland practices along with sprint workouts in the pool. Throughout his education Ryan has had the ability to work with high school and college athletes in sports including swimming, basketball, soccer, volleyball and triathletes. Being a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Ryan is a great asset to the Impact Sports Performance Staff.
